Medicinal name: Guangdongshidou Lan

This plant is used to treat cough, sore throat, rheumatism, traumatic injuries, reduce “heat” in the body and removing “wind” in the body. It can be either used fresh or made into powder form.


Bulbophyllum laxiflorum (Blume) Lind.
Chinese names: Fusheshidou Lan, Yashe Lan
Chinese medicinal names: Shizao, Shiduo, Yanduo, Jinduo, Shimi, Duyiyanzhu

This plant clear phlegm, help improve appetite and digestion, speed up recovery from fractures. Not only that, it is also used to treat rheumatism, high fever and epilepsy.


Bulbophyllum leopardinum (Wall.) Lindl. ex Wall.
Chinese name: Duantingshiduo Lan

The plant poultice is used in Nepal to treat burns on the skin.


Bulbophyllum levinei Schltr.
Chinese name: Chibanshidou Lan
Chinese medicinal name: Duyeyanzhu

It is used to treat swelling, sore throat, tonsillitis, mouth ulcers, fever and thirst. It can be either apply externally using paste made from the plant or consumed as dried herbs.
